Trout Trickers Why Choose Trout Trickers
There's a reason Trout Tickers' slogan is Superior Presentation For
The Serious Angler. Since the early 90's, Pete Mott has guided in the
Vail Valley, logging over 10,000 river miles. His expertise, combined
with a charismatic outgoing personality has landed him an elite
following of experienced and skillful angling clientele.
Pete prefers to guide from a fiberglass drift boat or rubber raft, thus
giving anglers a birds-eye-view of even the subtlest strike. Clients
enjoy the comfort of sitting or standing at the perfect casting distance
over prime trout water only accessible by boat.
Trout Trickers is available for trips 365 days a year. Summer and fall
are Trout Tricker's busiest seasons, however, fishing in the winter and
spring in the comfort of a propane-heated boat has become increasingly
popular.

Where Trout Trickers Prefer to Fish
Roaring Fork River
"Gold Medal" classified this fast paced, rocky freestone beauty
originates in the tall peaks of Independence Pass. Fishable from a boat
year-round, anglers can expect to tangle with rainbows, cuttbows, browns
and pure cutthroats.
Eagle River
This river is a local favorite, and usually only floatable for 6-8 weeks
beginning in June. Full of rowdy rapids and aggressive feeding
frenzies, anglers enjoy superb dry fly action as the water begins to
clear and major hatches blanket the air.
Scenic Colorado River
Floatable all year, the mighty Colorado is characterized by long runs
and gentle riffles, and is ideal for both beginner anglers or seasoned
experts. Its watershed, almost entirely surrounded by BLM public lands
and protected from human development transports its visitors to the old
West of hundreds of years ago.
